After graduating from Université Laval in Québec in pharmacy in April 1997, I went to practice my profession in Abitibi for almost a year and then returned to work in my home region in Sorel-Tracy the following year.
Not yet 25 years old but passionate about the professional and administrative sides of the profession, I took the plunge in March 1999 and became a pharmacist owner under the Familiprix banner by purchasing the branch located in Varennes. A pharmacy that I operated for almost 25 years.
From 2010 to 2014, I held the position of elected administrator at the AQPP (Association des Pharmaciens-Propriétaires du Québec). During this mandate, I had the honour of being appointed Treasurer of its executive committee in January 2013. In addition, I participated, as a member, in the Negotiation Committee during the entry into force of Bill 41. Thus, my involvement in various committees, both at the A.Q.P.P. and at the Order of Pharmacists allowed me to contribute to the protection of interests and the advancement of the profession within these highly influential groups.
In June 2015, I opened a second Familiprix pharmacy located in Boucherville, a city experiencing strong growth.
Over the years, I acquired the commercial buildings in which these two pharmacies operate, thus fulfilling a new role as property manager.
Since January 2024, I have sold my Varennes branch to a fellow member, and I remain the sole owner of the growing one located in Boucherville
