1.    CONTEST PERIOD 

The "Familiprix mobile app + Familiplus contest" contest (the "Contest") is held by Familiprix Inc. (the "Organizer"). 

The Contest runs on the Familiprix mobile app from January 16, 2025, at 00:00 to February 12, 2025, at 23:59. 

Throughout the Contest Period, a total of 5 prizes will be available to be won, representing a total value of $10,000 ($2,000 each). 5 random draws will be held after the contest end date.

2.    TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY AND PARTICIPATION

To participate in the contest with the Familiprix mobile app:

To enter, the participant must, during the Contest Period:

• Be a member of the Familiplus program or join for free on the same day through the following options: at a participating branch, on the "My Familiplus" mobile app, via the website (https://www.familiprix.com/en/familiplus).
• Use the new Familiprix mobile app and create an account (if they don’t have one already), and/or sign in to the Familiplus section of their Familiprix account.
• Have downloaded, on the new Familiprix mobile app, at least one downloadable Familiplus offer during the Contest Period.
• Not be one of the following people:
  i)    An employee of Familiprix Inc. 
  ii)    A Familiprix affiliate (pharmacy) 
  iii)    A Familiprix retailer
  iv)    A Familiprix representative
  v)    One of Familiprix's promotional or advertising agencies
  vi)    An employee of one of the people or companies listed in ii), iii), iv), v) or 
  vii)    Any person living under the same roof as one of the people or companies listed in i), ii), iii), iv), v) (in particular father/mother, brother/sister (including brother-in-law/sister-in-law, half-brother/half-sister), son/daughter, spouse)
• Be a resident of one of the following Canadian provinces: Québec and New Brunswick.
• Have reached the legal age of majority in your province of residence by January 16, 2025
  

To participate in the contest without the Familiprix mobile app

To enter without downloading an offer from the Familiprix mobile app, the participant must, during the Contest Period:

• Be a member of the Familiplus program or join for free on the same day through the following options: at a participating branch, on the "My Familiplus" mobile app, via the website (https://www.familiprix.com/en/familiplus).
• Write a legible handwritten letter per Participant of at least 50 words explaining why they would like to win. The letter must include the Participant's contact information (first name, last name, telephone number and Familiplus membership card number, if applicable). The letter must be signed and mailed in an envelope with sufficient postage to: Familiprix mobile app + Familiplus contest," 6000 Rue Armand-Viau, Québec City, QC, G2C 2C5 no later than February 12 at 4:30 p.m. (EST), as evidenced by the postmark, under penalty of nullity. Once the letter has been validated, the Participant will automatically be entered in the draw. Only one mail-in entry per Familiplus member will be accepted.
• Not be one of the following people:
  i)    An employee of Familiprix Inc. 
  ii)    A Familiprix affiliate (pharmacy) 
  iii)    A Familiprix retailer
  iv)    A Familiprix representative
  v)    One of Familiprix's promotional or advertising agencies
  vi)    An employee of one of the people or companies listed in ii), iii), iv), v) or 
  vii)    Any person living under the same roof as one of the people or companies listed in i), ii), iii), iv), v) (in particular father/mother, brother/sister (including brother-in-law/sister-in-law, half-brother/half-sister), son/daughter, spouse)
• Be a resident of one of the following Canadian provinces: Québec and New Brunswick.
• Only one entry per person.

3.    PRIZES

Prize description: The Contest will include 5 gift certificates worth a total of $10,000 ($2,000 each) from La Forfaiterie, in 5 different draws.

4.    TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE DRAW, DETERMINING THE WINNER AND CLAIMS

Potential winners will be selected from all offers uploaded to the new "Familiprix" mobile app during the contest period, on the draw date below, by electronic random draw. The draws will take place on February 19, 2025, at approximately 11:00 a.m. (EST) at the Organizer's office, located at 6000 Rue Armand-Viau, Quebec City, QC, in the presence of the Organizer's representatives. The Organizer's decisions regarding this Contest will be final and without appeal for all Participants. 

The chances of being selected for the prize depend on the number of offers downloaded from the new Familiprix mobile app during the contest period.

Immediately following the Contest draw, the Organizer will contact potential winners by telephone. The potential winner will have SEVEN (7) days after being contacted (the Contact Period) to contact the Organizer for follow-up.

For the potential winner to be declared a winner, the potential winner must comply with all requirements set forth in these Official Contest Rules and Regulations, including:

• Have complied with all terms and conditions of participation in the Contest;
• Provide full name, contact details and valid proof of identity.
• Have completed and signed the Declaration and Waiver of Liability Form within fourteen (14) days of dispatch of said Form;
• Answer the following mathematical skill-testing question: 5 x 2 + 8 - 3 = ?, which is reproduced in the "Declaration and Waiver of Liability Form.”

If the potential winner does not respond to the Organizer by the end of the Contact Deadline, or if the Organizer can’t reach the potential winner using the contact information they provided at the time of entering the Contest, or if the potential winner fails to comply with any of the Contest requirements, or if the potential winner does not accept his/her prize, such potential winner shall be deemed to have waived his/her rights to claim their prize. The Contest Organizer will have the right, at its sole discretion, to select another potential winner from the remaining valid downloadable offers or to cancel the prize. The alternate potential winner will be contacted in the same manner as set forth above, except that the alternate potential winner will be granted a new Contact Period of SEVEN (7) business days following the date on which the Contest Organizer contacted them.

The winner agrees to accept the prize as awarded, and it is not transferable or exchangeable for cash or other prizes. 

Once all the above conditions have been met, the prize will be shipped to the winner by the Organizer within fifteen (15) days of the Organizer's written confirmation that the potential winner has won the prize. The time required to receive the prize may vary slightly depending on the time taken by the carrier responsible for delivery.

5.    GENERAL RULES

1.    All prize claims are subject to verification by the Contest Organizer or its designated representatives. 

2.    The Contest Organizer is the sole and final source of reference for the validation of prize apps.

3.    All offers downloadable from the new Familiprix mobile app are the property of Familiprix. Neither Familiprix, nor its retailers, affiliates or any organization involved in the organization of the Contest can be held responsible for any Contest documentation that is illegible, incomplete, lost, stolen, misdirected, not received, destroyed or delayed for any reason whatsoever.

4.    The Contest Organizer cannot be held responsible for any defective computer parts, software or links, for the loss or absence of the ability to communicate, or for any transmission by a computer or network that is defective, incomplete, incomprehensible or erased and that renders a Contest participant ineligible for the Contest. 

5.    Nor can the Contest Organizer be held responsible for any damage caused directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by the downloading of any software or formula or by the transmission of any information related to participation in the Contest.

6.    The Contest Organizer is in no way responsible for erroneous or inaccurate information on participants' entry forms, whether caused by users of the website or by equipment and/or programs associated with or used by the Sponsor or the Contest Organizer or by any technical or human error that may have occurred during the operation of the Contest, including the processing of entry forms.

7.    By entering the Contest, each Participant agrees to release and hold harmless the Organizer from any liability or loss arising out of or in any way connected with the prize, including but not limited to any problems, failures, technical malfunctions of any network line, telephone line, online computer system, cash register system, software, server, provider, e-mail, browser, or technical malfunction that may occur, including, without limitation, a problem with the transmission or non-transmission of a winner's designation e-mail, regardless of cause, or a problem with the routing of the telephone call.

8.    The Contest Organizer reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend this Contest, without notice or upon notice in major regional newspapers, if any factor interferes with the proper conduct of this Contest, including but not limited to any computer virus or bug, system error or failure, unauthorized human intervention or any other occurrence beyond their control that corrupts or adversely affects the administration, security or normal operation of the Contest. 

9.    The Organizer reserves the right to modify or revise any rule of these Official Contest Rules and Regulations at any time. 

10.    By accepting a prize, the winner(s) agree(s) that the Contest Organizer may display, use and publicize their name(s) in connection with the Contest, including in the Winner(s) List, without compensation.

11.    The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. Personal information provided to participate in the Contest will be used solely for the administration of the Contest and will be subject to the Privacy Policy. No commercial or other communication unrelated to the Contest will be sent to the Participant by Familiprix Inc. unless the Participant has otherwise authorized Familiprix Inc. or its affiliates, as the case may be, to do so.

12.    Each prize winner agrees to release the Contest Organizer from all liability in connection with the prize. The winner agrees to sign a release form to this effect (the "Declaration and Release Form"). By signing the Declaration and Release Form, the winner agrees to release the Prize Providers, the Contest Organizer and all of their respective affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns from any and all liability arising out of the Contest, acceptance or use of a prize. 

13.    All expenses and costs not specifically indicated in these Official Contest Rules and Regulations as being included in the prize will be the responsibility of the winner.

14.    In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Official Contest Rules and Regulations and any statements or representations contained in any Contest-related materials, including, without limitation, the Participant's invoice and point-of-sale, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions set forth in these Official Contest Rules and Regulations shall prevail.

15.    Each Contest Participant may consult these Official Contest Rules and Regulations and the list of winner(s):

a)    By going to the following web page: https://www.familiprix.com/en/contests and clicking on the Contest tab. Winners' names are posted directly on the Contest web page. The official Contest Rules and Regulations are available on the Contest web page by clicking on the "Read the Rules" link located at the bottom of the Contest page; or 

b)    By writing to the Contest Organizer at the address provided in Article 16 of these rules to obtain a paper version.

16.    Each Participant may obtain information concerning this Contest and a paper copy of these Official Contest Rules and Regulations by writing to the following address:
